Position:
Functional Safety

As various industries introduce standardized processes for product design and testing, safety assurance has become increasingly regulated. ISO 26262 is based on IEC 61508, the general functional safety standard for electrical and electronic (E/E) systems. ISO 26262 addresses the need for an international standard in the automotive industry, with a focus on safety-critical components.

Sensilicon's automotive functional safety product development process system has been certified by SGS, an internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification body. On August 16, at Sensilicon's Shanghai R&D Center, SGS presented Sensilicon with the ISO 26262:2018 Semiconductor Functional Safety ASIL D Process Compliance Certificate. This marks Sensilicon's establishment of a fully compliant product development and management process system meeting the highest Automotive Safety Integrity Level, "ASIL D."
